British Canoeing (BC) Sea Kayak Leader Training (3 days)
The 3 days for the training are 1 day Coastal Navigation and Tidal Planning (CNTP). Day 2 and 3 are on the water training.
To achieve BCU Sea Kayak Leader, candidates are required to attend BC Sea Kayak Leader Training. This involves at least 2 days of formal training in personal skills, leadership, and safety and rescue. An additional day for the BC Coastal Navigation and Tidal Planning is a prerequisite course for your Sea Kayak Leader Assessment (extending the programme by an additional day).
Training is valid for 3 years, during this time, and upon completion of the assessment prerequisites, candidates can then put themselves forward for assessment.
