All Expeditions begin with a Familiarisation Day

This day is all about getting to know each other (expedition participants and your S.E.A. Kayaking guide) and all the equipment we will be using.

After checking into your resort for the evening (as provided by S.E.A. Kayaking), our taxi will pick you up at your reception at 15.00 and bring you to our office.

At this point, we discuss the route and complete paperwork, such as medical/contact forms, and answer any questions our customers have.

While we are together, we will get fitted out with all the equipment we will be using throughout the expedition.

Kayak, Life Jacket, paddle.

We also have time during the day, to do any adjustments needed. The dry bags will be provided during the day for your packing.

We will not be on the water.

Expedition Day

Our taxi will pick you all up at your resort at 9.20 am and bring you to the office.  Please come ready with your kayaking kit already packed.

The luggage you are not taking with you on the expedition will be placed in our office, for safe keeping whilst you are away.

You will need your passport for your expedition, as the Thai government now requires all resorts to monitor their customers.

Day 1: Salak Phet Bay–Koh Prao Nok – Wai Chaek Beach – Bang bao 15 KM/9.3 Miles

The first day of expedition, we start from the office to explore the mangrove and Salakphet bay where we are afforded a panoramic view of the islands that await us. Once we have packed our kayaks, gear and briefed, we set out for Salak Phet Bay, Koh Prao Nok then continued to the Koh Chang southwest coast stopping at Wai Chaek Beach, and finish the trip at Bang Bao. A/C/Hot Water

Day 2: Bang Bao Beach – Koh Klum – Koh Wai 18.5 KM/11.5 Miles

Bang Bao is a beach on the south coast of Koh Chang. From the beach, we have rewarded a panoramic view of the islands that await us. Once we have packed our kayaks and orientated ourselves we set out for Koh Klum, an open water crossing of 7km. This is a challenging start but nonetheless, it is very achievable. Before you know it, the journey to the first of the numerous islands has been achieved.
Having eaten and had a swim we continue our journey to Koh Wai. The crossing to Koh Wai is only 4km and is done in a short time. On arriving, we will arrive the
Northwest coast, this stretch gives us much to enjoy – the aptly named ‘Paradise Beach’ with snorkeling, wonderful coffee, and the beach isn’t bad either. Our next destination on Koh Wai is one of the best snorkeling spots in the whole park. FAN
