The reward for paddling up to 20Km a day with experienced local guide is a journey through short open water stretches, a network of small caves accessed at high tide, a trip to Secret Beach that can only be reached by boat, and unique perspective of Koh Chang’s rocky cliffs.

Although this expedition is only four days in duration we expect to cover at least 20km per day and so good physical fitness and experience of journeying in kayaks or canoes is a must.

What’s Included

  • Food, All meals on the expedition are provided apart from breakfast, lunch, and evening meals on familiarization day.  Clients are required to bring sufficient money to purchase their own meals on this day/s.
  • Drinking water is supplied throughout the expedition, other drinks are at your cost.
  • Accommodation is provided for the familiarization day and the remaining expedition days. The night of the final day of the expedition (back on Koh Chang) is at your cost.  Accommodation is in single rooms – For the couple, the room will be upgraded.

Additional Costs

All Expeditions begin with a Familiarisation Day

Day 1: Salak Phet Bay–Koh Prao Nok – Wai Chaek Beach – Bang bao 15 KM/9.3 Miles

The first day of expedition, we start from the office to explore the mangrove and Salakphet bay where we are afforded a panoramic view of the islands that await us. Once we have packed our kayaks, gear and briefed, we set out for Salak Phet Bay, Koh Prao Nok then continued to the Koh Chang southwest coast stopping at Wai Chaek Beach, and finish the trip at Bang Bao. Day 2: Bang Bao Beach – Koh Klum – Koh Wai 18.5 KM/11.5 Miles

Bang Bao is a beach on the south coast of Koh Chang. From the beach, we have rewarded a panoramic view of the islands that await us. Once we have packed our kayaks and orientated ourselves we set out for Koh Klum, an open water crossing of 7km. This is a challenging start but nonetheless, it is very achievable. Before you know it, the journey to the first of the numerous islands has been achieved.
Having eaten and had a swim we continue our journey to Koh Wai. The crossing to Koh Wai is only 4km and is done in a short time. On arriving, we will arrive the
Northwest coast, this stretch gives us much to enjoy – the aptly named ‘Paradise Beach’ with snorkeling, wonderful coffee, and the beach isn’t bad either. Our next destination on Koh Wai is one of the best snorkeling spots in the whole park. FAN

Day 3: Koh Wai – Koh Bai Dang – Koh Ngam – Koh Lao Ya Nok – Koh Wai 21 KM/13 Miles

This is a wonderful day to explore surrounding area. We will stay on Koh Wai another night then head to Koh Lao Ya nok, then Koh Ngam where unique shape of two small mountains joined together by a sandbar lined with coconut trees.
After enjoying the packed lunch, we will head back to Koh Lao Ya Nok for Koh Wai and making the circumnavigation. FAN

Day 4: Koh Wai North East – Koh Lao Ya Nai – Koh Chang (Salak Phet) 13 KM/8 Miles

Our last day expedition, after the good coffee, we continue to Koh Lao Ya Nai, and then continue to the last section of this day is another 5 km crossing to Koh Chang, Salakphet Area and finish the trip at our office. We have completed our 4 days expedition and should all feel extremely proud of ourselves!
